The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has called on Nigerians to exercise caution when reacting to viral testimony videos circulating online. According to Pastor Chidi Louis, the church’s spokesperson, the videos have been manipulated by bloggers to misrepresent the testimonies of church members, giving a false impression.
In response to the public mockery generated on social media, Pastor Louis clarified that the videos were intentionally edited to discredit the divine works taking place within the church. He noted that only fragments of the testimonies were shared, distorting the full message and leading to misunderstanding.
One of the most controversial testimonies featured an elderly woman who recounted how, in a dream, she subdued armed robbers carrying AK-47 rifles. Pastor Louis explained that the viral videos misleadingly suggested that these events occurred in real life, when it was clearly a dream. He urged the public to view the complete testimonies for proper context before making conclusions.
To address the situation, the Lord’s Chosen Church has released the full, unedited version of the video to support its claim that the testimonies were not fabricated. Pastor Louis also condemned the actions of bloggers who edited the clips, describing them as “malicious” and aimed at ridiculing the work of God.
Supporting the church’s stance, other religious leaders have spoken out, warning against mocking spiritual experiences. Pastor Gospel, a Port Harcourt-based pastor, emphasized the importance of understanding that many testimonies, especially from the Lord’s Chosen Church, represent “victories in dreams.”
The church has encouraged the public to watch the full, unedited testimony clips on its platform for clearer understanding.
